DC Stars Hockey Club is the only co-op high school hockey team in the District of Columbia. We welcome student athletes from any DC school that does not have its own hockey team.
Students do not have to reside in the District, but they must attend a school here. The team has had players from dozens of different schools over the 20+ seasons that it has competed in the Maryland Scholastic Hockey League (MSHL). Currently, students from 14 DC schools are active on the team.
The DC Stars board and coaches strive to provide the best possible instruction and training for our players. We believe that hockey helps youth to develop character on and off of the ice.
We play under USAH guidelines and use USAH certified coaches. The team also adheres to the principles of SafeSport.
DC Stars is currently fortunate to be able to skate both a Varsity and a Junior Varsity squad, competing separately in the Montgomery Hockey Conference (MHC) of the MSHL.
