Fight for the Children, a DC based non-profit that works to create equitable access to youth development and sports programs, held their annual Youth Sports Day on August 23rd. DC Stars players joined forty other organizations, pro teams and sponsors, to bring the joy sports to DC's kids.
Fight for the Children's third annual youth sports day attracted record numbers of participants to the Fields at RFK. The children and their parents were invited to try many different sporting activities, from basketball to wrestling. DC Stars players, Callum Cochran, Charlie Laski and Ian Cox, taught participants how to shoot a puck. The players also help set up for the event by preparing thousands of backpacks with school supplies for the attendees.
