DC Stars Upgrade Their Skills and Fitness at Corobus Training Center

Twenty DC Stars players participated in the first two of six training sessions at Corobus sports training center in Clarendon. The team was divided into small groups. One group worked out with a certified "D1" trainer. D1 training is recognized as a strength and conditioning program aimed at enhancing performance of professional athletes. The second group worked with a professional hockey coach to improve their skating and shooting skills. After thirty minutes the groups switched to allow everyone the chance to improve their conditioning and hockey skills.

Feedback from parents and skates was overwhelmingly positive. The individual attention in a small group setting was appreciated by the players. The DC Stars will be back at Corobus for four more sessions. Players are strongly encouraged to register their availability on TeamSnap and to consider the sessions as additional practices.
