The Last Puck of Spring Has Dropped

Updated: Jun 18

In past years the DC Stars played Spring hockey in Maryland. This year, largely to be more accommodating for commute times, the team faced off against schools from Northern Virginia at Medstar. While the goals did not now always fall the DC Star's way, the games were a good test for our rising freshmen.

Spring hockey is a great way to introduce rising ninth graders to the faster, stronger and harder hitting hockey that they will join in the fall. Our younger skaters and goalies developed well. They worked hard, listened to their coaches and contributed to the team.

The older boys earned their stripes as rising leaders for the team. Kai was a motivating force on the bench and in the locker room. Ian organized warmups and worked to inspire the new faces. Julien and Patrick made their presence known on the ice.
