Thanks Coach Brett!

Coach Brett Hatfield has been a positive influence for DC Stars' players on and off the ice for eight years and leaves our team with a legacy that is both friendly and competitive. When my kid joined the team three years ago, the first thing that I notice about Coach Brett was his determined patience as he instructed his skaters. That same characteristic was evident in his interactions with parents too.

Our team is better because of Coach Brett. Whether running drills during practice or cajoling the skaters to pass or to backcheck faster, he inspires the team to be greater. But what has made Coach Brett stand out is the life that he breathes into life into the sport. Quick with a smile or to jump into a scrimmage, Coach often reminds all of us of the joy of hockey.

Thanks Coach. You've made us better. You brought us closer and showed us how to lift each other up. Good luck on your next chapter. May you always find smooth ice and may your skates stay sharp.
